Become a Conservation Leader Circle Member

The Conservation Leader Circle is a very special group of committed members who support Bat Conservation International’s education, research and conservation initiatives. By donating an annual, tax-deductible gift of $1,000 or more, members of the Conservation Leader Circle allow BCI to respond quickly to bat-conservation emergencies around the world – including our urgent efforts to combat White-nose Syndrome, the gravest threat ever faced by North American bats.

As a Conservation Leader Circle member, you will receive these exclusive benefits:

  • Quarterly conference call briefings by Executive Director Nina Fascione and key program staff. They will update our Conservation Leader Circle members on critical bat issues and answer all of your questions about these invaluable, but often–misunderstood, creatures.

  • Advance invitations to our annual Conservation Migration ecotours.

“What a delight to be able to travel to exotic new places with others who share your respect for local culture, appreciation of all species, concern for the environment and, of course, a love of bats. We began this journey not knowing each other and ended it with extraordinary memories, a new wealth of information on bats, fabulous wildlife photos and lasting friendships. Thank you, BCI.”

That’s how BCI Member Joy LiBethe recalls her experience on the Conservation Leaders Circle ecotour of Zambia and Botswana in November 2011. The highlight of the trip was the 8 million straw-colored fruit bats that roost in the trees in and around the Zambia’s Kazanka National Park. But participants also marveled at lions, leopards, sable antelope and other amazing African animals.

This Conservation Leaders Circle photo album features a few of the photos taken by Joy, Rebecca Harvey and Arta Cheney during those 10 unforgettable days.
