Live from Bracken Cave Preserve

Live from Bracken Cave,
the World’s Largest Bat Colony!

We are excited to announce BCI's new webcam at Bracken Cave Preserve! Now you can get your bat fix from the comfort of your own home.

Watch live vldeo from the world's largest bat colony.

Please note that we’re still working out a few bugs in this new system, but we wanted to share this exciting video experience with you before the bats head back south for the winter. Emergences begin around 7:30 p.m. Central Time.

And to celebrate this new development, we’re hosting one more public tour to Bracken on September 20th! So make your reservation before it’s too late!

Bracken Cave Preserve is a spectacularly unique natural area and BCI is working hard to protect it. You have been hearing from us for six months about our concerns regarding the proposed Crescent Hills subdivision and the potential risks it poses to this natural treasure. If you didn’t experience the bat flight this summer, you still have a chance to discover for yourself why this bat colony is so special: join us at the cave on September 20th or watch the evening bat emergence online.

If you would like to help save Bracken Cave, please consider donating to BCI and urging City, County and State officials to help us protect this important landscape.

As always, thank you for being a bat supporter!
